MSc Architectural Engineering Thesis: Dress Code Casablanca: Parametric Design in Posthuman Fashion

This project studies the potential of integrating fashion and technology under the prism pf posthumanism. With the help of parametric design and 3d printing I designed and built the statement costume of the protagonist of a movie taking place in the future during a nuclear war and global change. The garment is specifically designed to offer protection against adverse circumstances (fragments, dangerous gas, high temperatures, humidity etc.) and it consists of a “helmet”, a gas mask and a filter for the head, an “exoskeleton” for the main body and a protective garment for the rest of the body. The design of the whole project is inspired by nature and more precisely by insects and their exoskeleton.
